So, here he is...my big boy! He looks so grown up...I catch myself just staring at him when he's playing and can't believe what a difference a hair cut makes! He was being super duper onery when I was taking these pictures but the other ones didn't do it any justice...now you all can see what it really looks like! Enjoy!

Baby's First Haircut

Ok, so P's not a baby anymore, but mommy bit the bullet and we decided on a whim (obviously, excuse the terrible camera phone pictures) to go get a haircut. He was starting to look literally like Baby Albert Einstein, and I have to admit, his new big boy haircut looks pretty cute! We went this morning to the ped surgeon, and he will have surgery next Tuesday on his foot, so daddy and I decided to go do something fun. We went to Sheer Madness, a kids haircut facility. In other words, "rip off", but it was fun, and P got to get his hair cut in a big car, and the experience was fun. We even got a before and after shot, with all his curly locks in a baggie to take home. It will make a cute scrapbook page. I thought I would have a hard time, but actually, it was ok, and my baby's first hair cut was a success (and he still has his curls!) He did great!

Sweet Surprise!

I have hesitated to put this in our blog, just for the simple fact that I didn't want to jinx it, and wanted to make sure everything was good to go. For those of you that don't know, we are moving, and are so excited for the next season with our family in this home! Here is a shot of the "new house" and just one of the "sweet" suprises left from the previous owners...that happen to be personal friends of ours...we wish them the best of luck and already miss them terribly in the neighborhood. We always tell them we wish we were moving in next door, and not taking their house...

Went to T-Rex today for a Lil Legends activity! P sure had fun digging for dinosaur bones...one of the many reasons I love being a teacher...I get to be a mommy during the summer! :)

A Week of Lasts

I am trying to soak up every minute of time in "this house". Ever since we got the go ahead to start packing with papers signed, etc. we have been packing boxes here and there and moving a little at a time. Each night, more and more boxes get moved over to the "new house". I can't help but stop every now and then and think, this might be the last time we do this, or this...or the kids will only be this old in "this house". The other night, we went and got McD's and went out on the deck and probably ate out there for the last time. I love this house, everything about it...I love the deck, I love how there's just enough space for me to be able to hear my babies in another room without a monitor, I love our corner lot, I love that I have brought my babies home from the hospital in this house, I love it all. I am excited for the next season though...just trying to soak it all up. I love that country song that says, "You're gonna miss this when it's gone"...it's true, I am just glad that I am realizing this now, so I can enjoy just a few more days in "this house"...

Mommy was playing with her camera last night and learned how to create starbursts with lights using the settings on her camera...this is the true picture folks...nothing in photoshop! SOOC! Pretty cool!

While out in the country, I thought I would do a little photo shoot for the boys' next pictures. It was a beautiful night, the lighting was great, and I think even for taking pictures, they had a great time. Here are a few of my favorites!

Memorial Day Weekend

My little country boy!

This Memorial Day weekend was sure fun with P being old enough to now participate in every activity Grandma June has to offer in the country. I am sure the first morning we were there, the boys had fished, we had laid in the hammock, been on the 4-wheeler, swang (is that right?) on the swing Uncle Mark built JUST for P, sat on the porch rockers and drank coffee, and did whatever else you do in the country. I guess that's why I loved it so much...no internet, just visiting with family and enjoying the beautiful weather. We sure needed one last weekend, the calm before the storm of moving houses! We went to Lost Valley Lake Resort the next day, and I couldn't believe it, but I left my camera at home. P loved his new life jacket and had absolutely no fear of jumping off the dock when mommy and daddy were no where around. He ran to the other side of the dock when we were putting him up on the dock. He had fun going down the slide and riding on the paddle boats... It was neat seeing him do "big boy" things...can't believe how fast they are growing up! E had a great time too, slept out in the open air in his carseat...he did great...
