And another...

Ok, I know there aren't any pictures attached to these last posts, but P is just saying things each day that I so don't want to forget....today's one liner, "I see blowin'". So stinking cute...on our third SNOW day in a row, we had to go out to have lunch with daddy...I didn't care where we went, but we were going somewhere. When we were walking out into the garage to get in the van he says this! His precious way of saying he could see his breath! I guess God gives us these sweet one liners to make up for their stinky behavior at times!!! Whew, today was a tough day, but it's over, and tomorrow is a new day. In the mean time, I will sneak up to his bed, and think about how precious he looks when he sleeps, instead of the onery, patience testing tot we have on our hands at times!

Also, for the record, E is now taking multiple steps in a row, I think today we were making it up to 7-8 steps in a row!!! I bet this time next week, we'll have a walker on our hands!

I just had to get this on the record, so I never forget it someday! Today P was just the sweetest...he had a great day, and was oh so cute with all that he is saying now. It's nice to have a conversation with someone now that he is getting older. Most of our day, he would say, "Hey mom (yeah when did that happen?), Come see this!". Tonight when daddy got home, out of the blue, he says to both of us, "when I get big, I'm gonna go see Jesus!" Let's hope not too soon! Can't wait to see you learn more my big boy! I pray that you love Jesus with all your heart, and walk with him for ETERNITY! I hope I'm doing the best I can as a mommy and am leading you down that path!

I'm back!!!

Hey there all!!! We are back, and I am back to work...sad, but true. I miss those little guys, and our daily routine of jammies, relaxing, trying to stay warm, snow, and just hanging out! We had a great break. I wanted to share with you a few pics of my almost one year old and my all time fav of the unedited traditional Christmas tree pic! Can't believe it...in two weeks, he'll be one...not sure where the time went, but yep, he did it! We'll have the Winter ONEderland party here soon, but I wanted to share a few pics from the pictures I took for his invitation. They melt my heart...and so does he. He's so into tucking his little head under my chin, with his arms wrapped around my neck and loves to just STAY there....he's a snuggler for sure, and I'm not rushing to get out of this stage by any means...I'm soaking it all in! He is so into attempting to talk, walk, and get into everything, but I just love it. His favorite word right now is "oh oh"! Too cute...and he also loves to just "oooo". He puts his hands out to us, and signals for us to come close. Like I said, melts my heart....I wish I could stop time! Enjoy!

So, this is what Saturday's are for....
Dirty, diggin' in the dirt, working with daddy kind of Saturdays...don't you just love those dirty hands! I couldn't resist...and the tongue while working hard to make your "gun" from legos! Oh how I love you my boy! These days you love to use new words like "juicy", and "sour"! You surprise us every day, even on days when I lose my cool because you want to "do it" in your own time!

We had such a good weekend....just got back in town!!! I will tell you more about that soon, but I had to get this sneak peek out to our dear friends tonight! I had the priviledge to take these little cuties' pictures just this morning....I had to pick out my very favorite, but can't decide between black and white or the color!!!

Catching Dragonflies....

He convinces his little brother they are going to catch dragonflies with old torn fishing nets they found in the barn. They are going to catch them because they have never touched a live dragonfly. He tells me they will capture four and put them in glass jars. We will put them in our bedrooms so we can look at them and enjoy their beauty.After some time he comes running up to me. Mom, he says with disappointment in his voice, I didn't know dragonflies were so fast.Another bittersweet moment and I suddenly stop and really listen to my son. I know all about fast, little one. Those dragonflies have nothing on the speed of the days and months and years that are slipping by. My little babies are suddenly little boys. Another day, another gray hair, another realization that these are the memories I will put away in my mind and dust off in the later years when the house is quiet, clean, and sometimes a bit lonely.The computer is calling, laundry is piling up, the dishwasher needs to be unloaded, bills need to be paid, the news drones on in the background and it seems mostly bad.But wait. Perhaps I will grab a chair, sit down, and enjoy watching two little boys chasing their dreams of beautiful dragonflies in glass jars softly beating their wings. Just breathe.
